Ag in the Classroom is an educational program designed to provide teachers with quality materials to teach students, through
North Carolina competency-based lessons, about the sources of their food and fiber, and the importance of agriculture to the
economy.
What is Ag in the Classroom (AITC)?
An educational program, sponsored by the North Carolina Farm Bureau, dedicated to fostering a better understanding of the
importance of agriculture in North Carolina.
Our Mission
Provide quality materials and instruction to public and private school teachers enabling them to instill in students an appreciation
for our state's food and fiber production, the people involved with the various stages of that production, and the industry's
statewide economic impact.
How do I teach students about ag?
Ag in the Classroom provides teachers with national competency-based, grade level specific lesson plans which introduce information about
agriculture to students as they are learning the required competencies of the various grade levels.
