National Gardening Association Announce Youth Garden Grants Program - www.kidsgardening.com/YGG.asp Deadline for Applications: November 2, 2009 - 100 grants are available. Five programs will each receive gift cards valued at $1,000 (a $500 gift card to the Home Depot and a $500 gift card to the Gardening with Kids catalog and educational materials from NGA). Ninety-five programs will each receive a $500 gift card to the Home Depot and educational materials from NGA.
Toyota TAPESTRY - A partnership between Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. and the National Science Teachers Association, the Toyota TAPESTRY Grants for Science Teachers program offers grants to K–12 science teachers for innovative projects that enhance science education in the school and/or school district. Fifty large grants and a minimum of 20 mini-grants, totaling $550,000 in all, will be awarded this year. To apply for funding, qualified teachers must write a Toyota TAPESTRY proposal according to the proposal requirements. The deadline for the completion of the online application is 11:59 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, Monday, January 18, 2010. Recipients of Toyota TAPESTRY grants will be notified by March 4, 2010. The Burroughs Wellcome Fund, an independent private foundation in North Carolina, will support $25,000 in inquiry-based science and mathematics projects through DonorsChoose.org during the 2008 / 2009 school year.

Burroughs Wellcome Fund
The Burroughs Wellcome Fund is partnering with DonorsChoose again this year to promote mathematics, science, and technology projects in North Carolina public schools.
A grant for $25,000 has been made available to support mathematics, science, and technology projects, with priority given to hands-on, inquiry-based proposals, submitted from Title 1 schools.
